Onam
Floral courtyard decorations, delicious feasts, snake boat races, a special tourism week, cultural programmes and much more  mark Onam, Kerala’s most important four day long festival. Special feasts prepared for the occasion  are not to be missed.

Thrissur Pooram
Dozens of caparisoned elephants, colourful umbrellas atop them, thrilling drum beats and lakhs of people accompany Thrissur Pooram, held at Vadakkumnatha Temple, Trichur. 

April/May every year.

The great Elephant March
101 tuskers decked in style gives you a chance to feed, ride and test your courage!Starting at Trichur and culminating in Trivandrum, this is a special tourism event. Held between 17th and 20th January  every year. 

Boat Races Boat Races
The Alleppey boat races make up a festival by itself. Chief among them is the prestigious Nehru  Boat Race held on the second Saturday of every August. Other events at Payippad and Aranmula also display the strength and rhythm of oarsmen propelling snake  boats in competitive fury.

Navarathri
Nine day festival of the Goddess of knowledge and music. A musical concert is held every evening for nine days at the Navarathri Mandapam of the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple. 

October /November every year.

Village Fair
In a hamlet near the enchanting beach resort of Kovalam, an entire, ancient Kerala village is brought back to life. Replete with traditional houses, dress, food, crafts and so on. Just as it was half a century ago. Every January.

Food Festival
A rare opportunity to taste the traditional, authentic cuisines of Kerala and India. A national food festival Flavour is held in Trivandrum from 5th to the 11th of February  every year.

Cochin Carnival
One week long extravaganza from December 25th to 31st  is the best way to ring in the New Year ………..
